Practice Gratitude for a Better World and a Better You!
Practicing gratitude is proven to increase overall well-being. By incorporating gratitude into your life, you will begin to see a positive shift in your life's perspective and the world around you.
Here are five things you can do to get started.
1. Start a Gratitude Journal - Write three things you are grateful for. each day; a walk in nature, time with family, laughter shared with friends, the list can go on and on..
2. Say "Thank you" - Show your appreciation to the people you encounter. When someone shows a simple act of kindness, whether is is opening the door for you when your hands are full or to the person who went out of their way to help you with that work project. A genuine thank you can go a long way.
3. Look for the Silver Linings - Life doesn't always go as planned but there is always something to be learned even in difficult times. Always ask yourself what could I learn from this when faced with challenging times.
4. Volunteer - Benefit from the intrinsic rewards of getting involved in your community or helping someone in need.
5. Laugh - Laughter is an instant vacation. Surround yourself with people that make you laugh . If nobody is around put on a great comedy.. Anything with Melissa McCarthy brings a smile to our face.
